Kwinana Power Station

Located in Western Australia, Kwinana Power Station plays a vital role in keeping power flowing across the region. As part of a recent infrastructure upgrade at the station’s Central Stores facility, there was a need for safe, durable, and high-performing transformer units.

To support this, Exnovo delivered custom-built transformers designed to handle the site’s power distribution and grounding requirements.

For this project, Exnovo manufactured:

• 1 x 500kVA 33,000/433V Hermetically Sealed Distribution Transformer (Copper, Dyn11, ONAN, Mineral Oil)
• 1 x 1200A for 10 Sec 33,000V Earthing Transformer (Copper, ZN, ONAN, Mineral Oil)

These units were engineered for reliability in demanding environments, helping ensure consistent and safe operation within the power station’s network.
